Porcelain grasped her arms tightly, curling against herself in a futile sense of comfort, her pristine gown surrounding her in layers of frills, lace, and white satin. The cool breeze blew through the ever-open sky, lifting pieces of the gown violently, platinum hair whipping around as if they were streaks of ribbon and letting them lace with water from the fountain Porcelain sat upon. Heels were discarded in a pile beside the fountain wall, bare feet pressing on the concrete wall of the water-spouting sculptures of cherubs and angels. “No more, I'll take it no longer.” murmured the lone young woman, aquamarine eyes lifting to the sky, reflecting the clouds that swirled above. “Their words never truly bothered me anyways.” said Porcelain, her voice becoming stronger against the howling wind that beckoned her to follow. She twisted off the circular bordering, dainty feet hitting the ground in a run as pale hands lifted her bountiful skirts to keep her from tripping on it's layers. The sun peeked out of the clouds, and a bell-like laugh escaped from the normally emotionless girl's throat, passing by the civilians who watched her with curiosity. Barefoot, Porcelain sped across the plentiful grass below her as the wind roared in her ears and let her white locks out of their twin tails in a violent arc.

She stumbled slightly, flower petals settling in her hair as she tore past resistant tree branches, keening laughter ringing from her lips as her dress billowed about her legs like a cape. “I'm free! Let them criticize no one but themselves!” shouted Porcelain, eyebrows set in a determined expression, eyes filled with an undying fire that could have melted the frost off of blooming carnations, the storm insider her petite body raging with emotion. She was no longer the girl they wanted her to be, she was her own person, she was Porcelain and so much more. “They will not control me. They'll never see me cry again!” her voice became filled once more with power, heart racing like a hummingbird let out of it's cage.  Porcelains' feet slapped against cement steps lightly, her body leaning forward as she pushed upward, eyes never leaving the sky, even as her gown was torn in half by rigid pieces of rock on the stairs. The wind lifted upwards as she reached the top of the stairwell, breaths leaving her chest with pants as she crouched low, leg muscles tensing with preparation. From out of her back, large sails of snow-colored feathers arched out and upward in a breath-taking movement to a small bystander who's small mouth was in the shape of an “o”. Porcelain caught the child's eyes with a satisfied smile, eyelashes of soot surrounding expressive bright optics. “Their stares never bothered me anyways.” she whispered softly, the words still reaching the young mundanes' ears like an echo. With a great intake of breath, torn white gown blowing steadily, her feathered wings snapped down in a powerful push, sending her sharply upwards into the air with grace as smaller feathers rained down at the spot she had once been positioned at.

She was gone.
